Join us Saturday April 29th or Saturday May 20th as we help 2000 newly planted trees get the best start possible!

Available Volunteer Sessions:

  • Saturday April 29th | 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Saturday April 29th | 1:00pm-4:30pm
  • Saturday May 20th | 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Saturday May 20th | 1:00am-4:30pm

Tasks will include protecting trees with tubes and stakes to help them stay upright. Each tree will also need to be surrounded with wood chips to keep weeds at bay.

Austin Unruh and his team at Trees for Graziers have planted two fields full of willow and poplar trees. They will help strengthen the riparian buffer along the French Creek while they grow into T4G’s “crop”. Live shoots will be harvested from these trees to be planted in other farmers fields to create silvopastures. These trees will never be moved off the land, simply trimmed and then a whole new tree will be propagated! Tenant farmers Horseshoe Ranch has teamed up with T4G with their cattle soon to have some shade to enjoy thanks to these trees.
What is silvopasture?

There are some BEAUTIFUL buds coming from Pasture Song Farm! Farmer Clara and her team have been busy in the greenhouses gathering bunches of these beauties. Be sure to follow them on Instagram to find out when bouquets are available at the farm stand!
