Saving farmland from development protects fertile soil and open space for future generations, but without a next generation of farmers, that land will not be productive. The USDA 2012 census shows the average age of American farmers advancing toward 60, while the number of young people entering farming continues to decline.
Your contribution to Lundale Farm, Inc. (a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization) enables us to go beyond making affordable land and housing available to beginning farmers by addressing their educational and professional needs. As many studies have shown, new farmers can only establish thriving enterprises if they have: ongoing technical support, business mentoring, access to capital, assistance with marketing and distribution.
Lundale is dedicated to enhancing land use through productivity. Our farmers add to the common good by growing wholesome food for local residents, creating honest work, utilizing farming practices that improve soil, water and air quality, and encouraging public access to and education on their farms. Your contribution to Lundale Farm, Inc. is an investment that benefits the entire community now and in the future.
Please consider supporting Lundale Farm’s work in promoting sustainable agriculture in southeastern Pennsylvania and beyond. Your contribution is deeply appreciated.
